About Accretio

Accretio offers interim management for both the production industry as well as project management. Whether your current production manager has left for a new challenge or there is a different reason why your company does not have someone managing a project, Accretio can help you. No matter the industry you are in, we will make sure your production will keep running smoothly.
In addition to overseeing your project(s), Accretio will analyze the processes and present ways to improve the efficiency and quality of the output, as well as reduce failure costs.
If all your company needs is someone to successfully oversee a particular project from start to finish, Accretio can also provide this service. While doing so, we will ensure that the right contractors are working together toward a common goal, while respecting individual interests.

"A leader takes people where they would never go on their own.” - Hans Finzel

Vision

Accretio is Latin for development. We believe that an interim manager should embody this principle, since this is what a successful company needs. After all … standing still is like going backwards.

Every company strives for growth: in size, in revenue, in personnel, in products. I am convinced this is possible by developing the 3 p’s: personnel, procedures, and processes.

When you are able to motivate and involve personnel in innovations, it stimulates your employees to keep growing individually. All with their own areas of interests, but always benefiting the company.

Procedures are necessary in every company, business and industry. Unfortunately most failures are caused by problems in communications. When procedures are thoroughly analyzed and expectations are clearly expressed, all involved benefit.

To produce a certain product or complete a particular project, it requires processes from start to finish. Through analysis, we can help you to identify any unnecessary steps or actions, leading to improved efficiency. We always strive for 100% efficiency, even if this is not always possible.

By engaging personnel in the improvement of processes, they see themselves as an integral part of the system, stimulate their desire to learn new things, and become more motivated to do well. This ensures durable growth.

Credentials

Project description:

Client : Havecon Projects BV
Project title : GreenEx phase 1b Nunhem
Customer : Nunhems Vegetable Seeds (BASF component)
Function Accretio : Project- and Site Manager
When : 07/2020 – 10/2021

Project:
BASF Vegetable Seeds is globally engaged in breeding of vegetable seeds and has as its motto: “ We make healthy eating enjoyable and sustainable.“
To support the breeding of new tomato strains we started preparations for the construction of GreenEx 1b greenhouses with accessory facilities (e.g. personnel spaces and technical support systems. (e.g. Water, Heating, Screening, Lighting and hoistable cultivating systems) in 2019. In total over 1 hectare in size containing 6 breeding departments for cultivating and breeding of tomatoes
as well as personnel facilities (e.g. hygiene entrance, office- and workspaces and sanitary services).

Function:
As Project- and Site Manager for Havecon it is my task to ensure that
all planned construction and installations are executed in accordance with the necessary quality, on schedule and on budget. To this end it is vital to assemble all relevant parties and have them focus on solutions while not losing sight of the interests of the various entities.

Mr. Gerard Koole (Project Manager Havecon Projects BV):
Tom Lemmens can be described best as a Dutch guy from Limburg with Rotterdam blood. He has found his way in the Limburg business world and commands respect with his direct western
approach; a promise is a promise and no nonsense, but get back to work. That is why we had a strong connection right away. His approach gave us the confidence he would be able to promote the interests of Havecon from the beginning. He has done exactly that and the end result speaks for itself; a happy customer and a top-notch project.

Mr. Peter Keunen (Project Manager Nunhems Vegetable Seeds):
The preparations for the construction project were finalized in June 2020 and execution could be started. Greenhouse builder and main contractor Havecon was responsible for the realization of the overall/total project and provided the Project/Site Manager, Tom Lemmens.

We met Tom on Wednesday June 17th and felt a connection during this conversation already. On July 1st Tom starts his duties for the project. Despite his lack of knowledge and experience in greenhouse construction projects , Tom mastered the ins and outs of the project in a short time, set up a schedule and got construction going. Tom is very organized in his work. The project is progressing in an organized manner as well and is being accomplished on schedule on budget within the required quality parameters.
This hasn’t always been easy and even in difficult circumstances Tom showed that he was able to maintain general overview and control. To do so he takes the lead in meetings, comes to clear agreements and documents these well and communicates with all concerning parties while respecting their interests. Tom has earned and received the respect and appreciation of all parties involved during the project.
A project can be done in many ways and it can be done in Toms way. Tom is a great person to have in the team and to work with; friendly, polite, and pleasant to deal with. Besides that he is eager to learn, decisive and skilled in communication (both verbal and written). Qualities that help to make a project successful.

In the meantime the facilities are fully operational and BASF is extremely satisfied with the result. As far as we’re concerned, we would do a next greenhouse construction project with Tom again.

Mr. Neil Saffrie (Project Manager Brink | construction, infrastructure, and real estate.
I have gotten to know Tom as a highly driven and exceptionally accurate project manager. He has made himself familiar with the project in a short time, despite the fact that the type of construction/structure was completely new to him. He is aware of the details and makes sure that every detail is executed the way it should. He does not shirk his responsibilities and ensures that other involved parties and persons take on their responsibilities as well. Besides that Tom is simply a very nice guy to work with on a personal level as well. An excellent addition to every team.

Client : Havecon Projects BV
Project title : â€‹Greenhouse Somerset, Kentucky – United States
Function Accretio : Project Manager
When : 11/2021 – 12/2022

Project:
For a relative young and stock exchange listed company in the United States Havecon has built a Greenhouse of approximately 30 acres. A 2.5 acre Warehouse for technical installations (for boilers, pump units and silos), storage, cooling areas, packing lines and office area is included as well. The Greenhouse will be used to grow strawberries and for a small part of the year for cucumbers. By recycling the water and use of high-tech systems for lighting for example the customer wants to be a pioneer in growing vegetables and fruits efficiently for the American market.

Function:
As a Project Manager together with my colleague Ivo van Holstein on behalf of Havecon it was our task to make sure the design and coordination between all different technical installations are according to the customers’ demands. Besides that it was crucial to make sure all materials and personnel were on site at the right moment in order to follow the schedule. Coordinating and having all local and Dutch contractors collaborate was an important part of our job as well. All with the final goal of delivering a project with the desired quality, withing budget and on time to make sure cultivation could start.

Mr. Ivo van Holstein (Project Manager Havecon Projects BV):
In November 2022 we requested Tom to join the team for our project in Somerset. From early on it was clear Tom works very organized and knows what he is talking about. Within 2 weeks we were a cooperative team, without the need to discuss who would do what specifically. Working together went really smooth, in a positive way and without any discussions.

I could best describe Tom as communicating skilled, involved, organized, stress resistant and flexible. With these characteristics he was able to keep all parties close and motivate them to deliver the project within schedule and budget. A big compliment from me for his involvement and execution of the tasks he was hired to do.

Finally Tom is also simply a great guy, with whom we have had a lot of fun while working with him.

The man behind...

I started working at a young age. At 13, I worked several shifts a week as a stock clerk. About 5 years later, at the age of 18, I was asked to manage a crew of approximately 45 people. This was my first experience being a leader.
In later years, I worked as a technical draftsman and prefab concrete element supplier for an engineering company. I began working with houses and smaller projects, then later progressed to the biggest projects around. I have worked on large structural aspects of eight different hospitals in the Netherlands, for example. In 2015, I was given the opportunity to challenge myself again by taking on a leadership role in the factory of my employer, a job I really enjoyed doing.

Being a leader is in my blood.

I can be described as a self-motivated and hard worker. I know how to motivate others and never turn my back on a challenge. I take responsibility in a solution-oriented and decisive way. I listen well and believe I have a flexible attitude. My communication skills (both verbal and written), whether in Dutch or English, are at a very high level. I am eager to learn new things and develop myself in order to keep improving my skills and getting better at my job.
